EVALUATIONS
First, determine your player's age.  Your player’s age is how OLD they are as of August 31, 2026. For example, if your son turns 10 on May 1, 2026, he is baseball age 10 for the upcoming spring 2026 season. If he turns 10 on September 1, 2026, he is 9 for the upcoming season.

ABSA is not planning to hold formal evaluations in the fall and instead will use coach feedback and statistics (where available) to make placement decisions at Majors, AAA, and AA for any players age 8 and above. ABSA reserves the right to request a player to be evaluated at an indoor session over the winter for appropriate league placement. There are a series of drop down boxes for parents to indicate their preferred division. These should be seen as preferences, but ultimately league placement is up to final determination by the Player Agent.

DIVISIONS
Our T-ball program introduces the game of baseball to our youngest participants (mostly 4-5 year olds) and focuses on the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. Players hit a ball off a batting tee. The primary goals are to have fun, to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork.  Practices and games are combined into a 90 minute session. We anticipate have 8-10 sessions per team starting early May and ending mid-June. Most, if not all, sessions will be on Saturdays and Sundays (sometimes both days of the weekend) and will typically start between noon and 3pm.

Our Minor League program continues to focus on skills development and fun while progressively introducing the kids to a more competitive playing environment. Players from ages 6-11 are organized into 3 levels (A, AA, and AAA) based on age and ability and progressively move through each level as their baseball skills and knowledge of the game develop. The goal of the Minor League is to prepare children for eventual selection to a Major League team. In this structure, players progress from the “A” division, a purely developmental coach-pitch league, through the “AA” division, which introduces kid pitching while continuing to focus heavily on overall skills development, to the “AAA” division, which continues to have a developmental focus while introducing players to game rules that more closely approximate the standard Little League rules that players in the Major League follows.

Our Major League program provides players ages 10-12 with the opportunity to continue their development in a more competitive environment. Teams play a 12-14 game regular season schedule that culminates in an exciting playoff series to crown an eventual town champion.

Our Junior and Senior League programs provide players ages 13-16 the opportunity to continue playing town baseball in a competitive and fun environment against other ABSA teams as well as teams from surrounding communities.

Coach Registration is included as part of this registration process. If you are interested in coaching, please select your preference of head coach, assistant coach, or either, as part of the registration process. Head Coaches will be assigned according to league bylaws and policies and are not guaranteed. This process is simply to indicate your preference.
