Attention all ABSA Softball players and families! Are you ready for summer? It's hard to believe we are already gearing up for our summer softball season! Here is some important information for you! 

It is ABSA’s intent to field the best possible summer Teams with the most skilled, eligible players, taking into account positions, availability, and teamwork/sportsmanship. Summer season play shall remain a positive experience for all selected players. While summer play by nature is more competitive, the goal for ABSA teams remains to field competitive teams, but co-equal goals are player development and sportsmanship.

Algonquin Softball intends to field the following summer Teams for the 2025 season:

• 14U Summer Team (Birthdates 9/1/2009-8/31/2011)

• 12U Summer Team (Birthdates 9/1/2011-8/31/2013)

• 10U Summer Team (Birthdates 9/1/2013 - 8/31/2015)

• 8U Summer Team (Birthdates 9/1/2015 - 8/31/2017)

There will only be a summer team if there are enough players at the age level for the team. If there are enough eligible players, ABSA will form additional teams at each possible age level. These are second tier teams that will be entered into local leagues for teams/players of that caliber.

This summer we will be playing in the Twin Valley Girls Softball League (TVL). The season runs from Mid June to Mid July with playoffs at the end of July. It is important that players commit to the whole summer season so that teams will be eligible for playoffs, if you can not commit to the whole season please state your availability during registration. Games for 8u and 12u will be on Tuesday and Thursdays. Games for 10u and 14u will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. All levels will have minimum one practice a week starting in late May.

Interested players need to register to secure a spot for either of the evaluation dates below.

Saturday, May 10th at Trottier from 4pm - 5:30pm 

Sunday, May 11th at Zeh from 4pm - 5:30pm
